The first jeans or Overalls as they were called were introduced around 1860 for workers in the Western gold mines. Especially at the turn of the century there were many little work wear manufacturers which produced trousers and tops for gold miners in the West of thse U.S.A. All had one thing in common: a very hard wearing product.
Our 1908 Miner Pant is based on s typical gold miner pant from that ear. Hence the name. Our 1908 Miner Pant has typical features that were often found on these kind of garmenst: doubled knees, single rear pocket, hammer loop and suspender buttons.
Further have we recreated a denim which was also typical of that time: our 14oz hemp denim. The denim is 50% hemp and 50% cotton making it rich in structure and sturdy in construction.
